Obra Galardonada con el 1er Premio en el
"Concurso Internacional de Composición para Banda”
"Romualdo Marenco" in Novi Ligure, ITALIA
- 2007
La Tercera Sinfonietta, titulada “El
Misteri del Foc” es una composición muy contrastada.
Una composición de mucho efecto, rabiosa,
melódica, traviesa, danzona..., muchos calificativos que contrastan
entre ellos para describir los tres movimientos que componen esta obra.

Calixto III nació en la bonita ciudad de
Canals. Alfonso de Borja que así se llamaba, tuvo un encuentro con fray
Vicente Ferrer, quien le predijo que llegaría a ser Papa y que un día le
canonizaría, le elevaría a los altares como Santo. Su atención como
pontífice se centró en la reconquista de Constantinopla que había caído
en manos turcas. Para ello intentó organizar una cruzada. La victoria
conseguida no evitó que la cruzada fuera un fracaso. |

Els Canals, el entorno, el fluir del agua por
los canales, el espíritu de la fiesta nos lleva al bendecido fuego, a la
fiesta de “Sant Antoni”, la bendición de los animales y la “Festa dels
Parells”.
Pero el emblema principal de la fiesta es la
monumental hoguera, “la foguera de Sant Antoni”. Un monumento de 20 m. de
altura formado por unas 600 toneladas de madera (leña fundamentalmente de
pino) que se quema entre vítores, que sus ciudadanos manifiestan a su
patrón. Alrededor de la hoguera todos vibran de pasión por su fiesta, una
fiesta de las más populares de la tradición valenciana, el fuego, y que en
la población de “Canals” la viven con un sincero entusiasmo. |

población de CANALS por su excelente labor por la Música y su Cultura.

The Third one Sinfonietta, titled The
Misteri of the Foc is a composition very contrasted. A composition of a
lot of effect, rabid, melodic, mischievous, danzona..., many descriptions
that contrast among them to describe the three movements that compose this
work.

Calixto III was born in the pretty city of
Canals. Alfonso of Borgia that thus was called, had an encounter with fray
Vicente Ferrer, who predicted that would come to be Pope and that a day
would canonize, would elevate to the altars as the Saint. His attention as
the pontiff was centered in the reconquest of Constantinople that had fallen
in Turkish hands. For it he tried to organize a crusade. The victory
obtained did not avoid that the crusade was a failure. |

Els Canals, the environment, the to flow of
the water by the channels, the spirit of the festival carries us upon
blessing fire, to the festival of "Sant Antoni", the blessing of the animals
and the "Festa dels Parells".
But the main emblem of the festival is the
monumental blaze, "the foguera of Sant Antoni". A monument of 20 m. of
height formed by some 600 tons of wood (firewood fundamentally of pine) that
burns among vítores, that its citizens declare their boss. Around the blaze
all they vibrate of passion by their festival, a festival of the most
popular of the Valencian tradition, the fire, and that in the population of
"Canals" they live it with a sincere enthusiasm.
