próxima a Argos.
cabezas serpentinas (6 ó 9, 50, ó 10.000), a veces antropomorfizadas.

II.- The Monster’s Dream
III.- The Hydra

The innovative Spanish composer Ferrer Ferran has taken Greek mythology as
an inspiration for his concerto for trumpet and concert band. Hydra, the
water monster decapitated by Hercules and Iolaus, terrorised the area of
Lerna, near Argos.
The concerto is in three sections which contrast with each other. The first
section is rhythmical and triumphant, the second is calm and melodious and
the last part provides an aggressive ending. A welcome addition to the
repertoire for solo trumpet and concert band.
